Invites and candidate access

Relay supports several ways to grant access to viewers and test-takers.

Workspace members

Use workspace members for colleagues, teachers, or admins who need to manage content.

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Click Invite member.
  3. Enter an email and choose a role:
    • Admin: full control.
    • Member: can create and manage content, but not billing or deletion.
  4. The invitee accepts the email link and joins the workspace.

Public test link

When an assessment is set to Public link:

  • Anyone with the URL can start.
  • Candidates enter their name and email, then take the test.
  • Results appear in Reports alongside workspace attempts.

Use this for webinars, social campaigns, or open exams.

Invite-only mode

For Only people I invite:

  1. Open the assessment.
  2. Go to Invites.
  3. Click Generate invite.
  4. Share the unique code or email link with each candidate.
  5. Each candidate uses their own code, so results are tracked individually.

Collection viewers mode

Use People who can view this collection when you already control access through the collection:

  • Public collection → anyone can take the test.
  • Password-protected collection → password required before the test.
  • Private collection with email grants → only granted viewers can take it.
  • Private collection with signed links → only people who use a valid signed link can take it.

The candidate experience

  1. Candidate opens the test link.
  2. If required, they enter:
    • Name
    • Email
    • Collection password or invite code
  3. They answer questions and submit.
  4. They see their result if enabled, and receive a certificate email if configured.

Revoke access

  • Remove workspace members from Team.
  • Disable an invite code in the Invites tab.
  • Revoke email grants from the collection People tab.
