Using PDFs
Relay supports PDF documents alongside videos. This is useful for slides, workbooks, certificates, reading materials, or handouts.
Upload a PDF
- Go to Collections and open the collection where you want the PDF.
- Click Add content → PDF.
- Upload a PDF file.
- Wait for the upload to finish, then add a title.
Add PDFs to a collection
You can add a PDF during upload or pick an existing PDF from the file picker. PDFs appear in the collection viewer between videos and can be downloaded if your settings allow it.
PDF viewer
Inside a collection, PDFs render in a clean document viewer. Viewers can scroll through pages and download the file when permissions allow.
PDF storage
PDFs are stored in R2 object storage. Relay generates a short code and serves files through a CDN edge.
Tips
- Keep PDFs under 50 MB for best upload reliability.
- Use descriptive titles so learners know what each document contains.
- Combine PDFs with assessment questions to test comprehension.
